The Department for Education requires schools to publish certain policies on their website. Policies are generally written by the head teacher or by the member of staff responsible for a particular area. All policies must be passed by the governing body before they are adopted by the school. There is a cycle of review for policies which may be yearly or longer depending on the policy in question.
