On Monday 24th January 2010 Hailey from Baysgarth leisure centre did a tester for her new street dancing club. We all learned a dance and we all enjoyed it. She did it for years 4 and 5. Her new club is at Baysgarth leisure centre starting from 14th January on a Thursday. For ages 5-10 it is 5pm to 6pm and for 10-16 4pm to 5pm. The cost is £2.80.
On India day we ate some Indian food and I liked some of the food but it was a bit spicy. The person that came in was called Else and she made us some food like popadoms and a dip to go with it. After that we did some research about India and the spices and some facts about saris that are a long piece of clothing that you can put all around your body and over your head.

John Hegley, the famous poet came to our school on Friday 15th January 2010. He likes poems to do with number. He says it doesn’t matter if what you say is odd or wrong, he says just try your best. In 'Read Me 2' and 'The Works 3' there are poems written by John Hegley. There will be more books.

Today was Art Day. We got put into different groups with different things to do including drawing fruit and veg. The subject was all to do with food as the theme for Barton Arts Week is Food Glorious Food. At the end everyone looked around at each others work.
We made cool crosses and cookies for Easter. The prizes were an Easter egg and if you took part you got a mini egg. About 200 people entered. In our class Caitlin won an Easter egg.
Not so long ago it was World Book Day which was famously fun. We dressed up as some of our favourite book characters. Nathanael won best costume for our class as Oliver Twist and second place was Charlotte as Pocahontas.
In January it was DT Day. Charlotte brought in lots of boxes including a giant nappy box from her brother Jamie. She built an amazing zebra which died sadly a few weeks ago in a wheelie bin. Harry, Jack and Kane made a gigantic robot which was a couple of inches smaller than them. Everybody had loads of fun and at the end of the day we looked at the whole school's designs.
