The School Building and Grounds

Location

Bowmandale Primary School is pleasantly situated on a 5.8 acre site in Barton-upon-Humber, a small rural town standing on the banks of the River Humber at the southern approach to the Humber Bridge. Barton-upon-Humber is located in a part of the ancient county of Lincolnshire now known as North Lincolnshire.

Facilities

We have a purpose built single-storey school with twelve teaching areas and a mobile classroom. The School opened in January 1978.

Central to the main building is a hall where different curricular activities take place such as PE, dance and drama. Leading from the hall is an ICT base and resource area, and the school kitchen where the mid-day meals are prepared. School meals are served in the hall. The school also has a library. An administrative area and toilet blocks complete the main building.

Surrounding the building are extensive playing fields, lawn areas and ample hard play surfaces. The grounds are enhanced by shrubs and trees.
