Curriculum

All children at Bowmandale Primary School have access to a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum which links directly to National Curriculum objectives. Cross-curricular links are made where appropriate and we make clear links to everyday life to ensure that learning is current and relevant. The curriculum is enhanced by educational visits both around the local area and further afield.

The specific learning content for each class is published as curriculum newsletters.

At Bowmandale Primary School we follow the Read Write Inc. programme. This scheme prepares children for learning to read and write by developing their phonics knowledge and skills.
