Welcome to Bowmandale
| School Life
On Friday 26th June, a group of about 20 girls went to Baysgarth secondary. We went into the main hall to take part in a wake 'n' shake competition. There were 23 schools competing, so we were split into 2 groups. A morning group which had 13 groups and the afternoon group which had 10 groups in it. Bowmandale was in the morning group dancing to 'Shake It'. There were 5 different awards 2 of which were a participation award and most energetic award. Bowmandale got both the awards mentioned above. After all, we couldn't have done it without Mrs Palin, so thanks to her.

Bowmandale Wake 'n' Shakers at Baysgarth
I'm a wake 'n' shake leader and I went to the wake 'n' shake festival at Baysgarth on the 26th June 2009. We all did the best we could and we won the most energetic and we got to dance it again!

Wake 'n' Shake in the classroom for the juniors and in the hall for the infants
I am a wake 'n' shake leader. Every other Friday I meet in the hall with all the other wake 'n' shake leaders and Mrs Palin. Two of us make up a dance and then teach everyone it. The following Monday we all split up and go to different classes in a morning after registration and they learn the dance too. Then for the next two weeks we do the same wake 'n' shake dance to wake the children up for the day ahead of them.
