Subject Intent Statement:
At Bowmandale Primary School, we know that Design and Technology helps to promote creativity, self-confidence and also encourages children to think imaginatively. Our Design and Technology curriculum is a crucial part of school life and aims to raise children’s aspirations, allowing them to undertake a range of experiences through a variety of creative and practical activities. Design and Technology skills are taught progressively to ensure that our children effectively develop their understanding and capabilities as they move through the school. Our aim is to prepare children to deal with tomorrows rapidly changing world by helping them to become independent learners whilst also allowing them to work collaboratively with others.
