Cooked, nutritious lunches are prepared in school from fresh produce and are free to all children in Key Stage 1. Free lunches are also available to certain children in Key Stage 2. If you think your child is eligible for free school meals, please enquire at the school office.
Packed lunches should be brought in a named container with a plastic bottle, beaker or carton of drink (no fizzy drinks please). For safety reasons please do not send cans or glass bottles. If your child forgets their packed lunch we will try to contact you but if we are unable to do so we will provide a cooked lunch and ask you to send the payment in the next day.
Snacks and Drinks
Every Reception and Key Stage 1 child is offered a free piece of fruit or veg every morning. Key Stage 2 children are encouraged to bring their own fresh fruit or veg for a morning snack. Any spare fruit and veg snacks are put out on the playground for all children to access at the morning break.
The children are encouraged to drink water throughout the day. We have a water fountain for break times but children can have a clear plastic bottle in the classroom too. This is especially useful to have during the summer months.
